Care across South Gloucestershire

Specialist care and support in South Gloucestershire.

South Gloucestershire is our home. Care Horizons is based in Yate, and we have supported adults across the area — Yate, Kingswood, Thornbury, Chipping Sodbury, Filton and the surrounding communities — since 2004. We provide specialist home support and supported living for adults whose needs have outgrown standard care: mental health, autism, learning disabilities and behavioural distress, from two hours a day to twenty-four-hour support.

Rooted here

Our office is in Yate — this is the heart of where we work

We are a CQC-registered provider based in South Gloucestershire, not a national agency operating at a distance. The people who support your relative are our own staff — not agency workers booked in to fill a gap. Many have been with us for years, and some of the people we support have been with us for more than two decades.

Because we are local and independently led, you reach senior people who know the work. Our Service Manager Joe Sparrow and Deputy Manager Jessica White take enquiries; our Managing Director, Vierka Hiscock, oversees every case, signs every contract and reads every safeguarding referral.

What we support in South Gloucestershire

Complex support, delivered at home

Some situations need more than a standard visiting service. These are the areas we specialise in — explore whichever fits the person you are worried about.

Mental health support · Autism · Learning disabilities · Behavioural distress · Supported & independent living · 24-hour & intensive support · Hospital discharge & recovery

From two hours a day to round-the-clock — tailored to the person, not a package.

Why families in South Gloucestershire choose us

Stability, not a rota

Most agencies organise around the rota. We organised ourselves around the person.

The same two or three support workers, kept in place. No agency staff filling gaps. CQC rated Good, certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 since 2018 and independently re-audited every year, and rated 9.5/10 by families on homecare.co.uk. We don’t take every case — and when we do, we stay.

What happens when you contact us

The first step is a conversation

There is no cost and no obligation in talking to us.

01

You reach a real person

Joe Sparrow or Jessica White take the call — both have been with us for years. No call centre, no script.

02

We listen, then we are honest

We tell you plainly whether we are the right fit for the person you are worried about — and if we are not, we say so.

03

We meet, and plan

If it is right, we visit, then match a small, consistent team around the person and commit for the long term.

Call 0117 405 4320 or email [email protected] — we will come back to you within one working day.
