Part-time Support Worker — Community
We’re a small, specialist team supporting adults across Bristol and South Gloucestershire — people with autism, learning disabilities, mental health needs and other complex needs, in their own homes and local community. We’re looking for local, values-driven people who can commit to regular part-time hours — including people who want school-hours work, and drivers looking for flexible part-time hours.
These are proper community support roles — not fifteen-minute visits, and not bank-style casual shifts. You’d be part of a small, consistent team built around each person, getting to know them properly and staying for the long term. It’s adult support, not childcare.
What the work actually looks like
- Supporting adults in their own homes and out in the local community.
- Helping with daily living, routines, appointments and getting out to do the things that matter to them.
- Building a genuine, long-term relationship — the same familiar faces, not in-and-out visits.
- Working alongside a small, consistent team and senior staff who know the people well.
This is adult community support — not childcare, and not a residential home.
Who this is a good fit for
- Reliable, with the values to do the work properly — someone we’d trust in a person’s home.
- Calm and patient, especially when things are hard or slow to change.
- A good communicator who keeps the team and families informed.
- Comfortable working on your own in the community — after full induction and shadowing.
- Looking for school-hours part-time work and able to commit to it consistently.
- A driver with access to a car who wants flexible part-time hours.
- Someone who understands adult community support is relationship-based — it works because the same familiar people turn up reliably, week in, week out.
Part-time patterns are genuinely welcome — school hours, some evenings, weekends. Tell us what you’re looking for and we’ll be honest about what we can offer.
